1st Annual Run for the Apples Virtual Challenge

The 1st Annual Run for the Apples is a virtual race challenge that is a new part of the Greene Applefest held each September in Greene, NY. All runners & walkers are welcome.
When: Run anytime between 9/13/2024, 12:00AM and 9/26/2024, 11:59PM.
Challenge: Log as many miles as possible during the challenge period. You’re on the honors system. The top male & female contestants (with the most miles) win. All results must be logged by 9/27/2024 12:00PM to count towards the challenge.
Where: Virtual – anywhere you want to run or walk!
Awards & Giveaways: We’ll announce the overall winners (top male & female finishers) live at the Greene Applefest on Saturday, 9/28/2024 on the main stage @ 12:00 noon. The 1st, overall male/female finishers will receive a medal & a yummy Greene Applefest Apple Pie. Shirts can be picked up at Greene Applefest.
Why: Part of the non-profit Greene Applefest.
Entry fee: Early Bird pre-registration is $20.00* due by 8/31/2024. Regular registration is $25.00* closes 9/12/2024 @ 11:59 PM. Includes race moisture-wicking race t-shirt.
Youth Registration (Ages 17 & under) $15.00* pre-registration due by 9/12. Includes race moisture-wicking race t-shirt.
Multi-Person Discount of $2 off per person when registering more than 1 person. Must be in the same transaction.

Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival

Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival is a free outdoor festival that draws 10-12,000 people to East and West Parks of downtown Norwich, NY, each year on the weekend after Labor Day, this year September 7 and 8, 2024. This nationally ranked festival provides juried art and fine crafts for sale in an interactive atmosphere, acoustic music by professional singer-songwriters, literary arts, creative culinary arts, and hands-on art experiences for all ages. Admission and all activities are entirely FREE of charge: rain or shine.

This event is sponsored by the First United Methodist Church in Greene and is held annually at Greene Ball Flats Park. This Family-Friendly event includes apple related demonstrations, crafters, and much more!
