NBT Bank Summer Concert Series – Eric Lindell

Lindell’s music melds West Coast rock, swampy Gulf Coast R&B, hard country and Memphis soul in a hybrid American roots music that blazes a trail of its own. Born in Northern California he worked as a baker by day and honed his chops as a singer and guitar player at night. After winning the John Lennon Songwriting Competition in 1999 he moved to New Orleans to pursue music as a career and quickly fell in with local stalwarts like Stanton Moore, Johnny Vidocovich and Ivan Neville (with whom he still collaborates in the super group Dragon Smoke). He has since a slew of  successful recordings, had his music used on television sound tracks and became a regular at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival where he again packed the Blues Tent this spring. It’s going to be a great show from one of our favorite artists.

NBT Bank Summer Concert Series – Sam Bush

Sam Bush is an icon of bluegrass music. Over his fifty year career he has recorded and performed with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Garth Brooks, Lyle Lovett and Bela Fleck. An originator of the Progressive Newgrass movement Bush’s music melds influences from Ricky Skaggs to Bob Marley and he is well known for incorporating long jams and rock and roll sensibility into bluegrass traditions. He has won numerous IBM Mandolin Player of the Year awards and has been awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Americana Music Association. Bush was inducted into the IBMA Hall of Fame in 2020 for his work with New Grass Revival and in 2023 he was inducted again for his solo career. Bush has also earned 3 Grammy awards and has been nominated 14 times. He is the foundation upon which is built the explosively popular Bluegrass of today. Don’t miss a chance to see the legend.

NBT Bank Summer Concert Series – Blood Brothers

Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia are true “Blood Brothers” in life and in the music they create both individually and collectively, joining forces in a collaborative effort of songwriting and performances to create a total listening experience greater than the sum of its parts.  Added to that process are the talents of producers Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, who brought fresh ideas to the recording sessions, pushing Mike and Albert creatively and musically to present their best work to date.

NBT Bank Summer Concert Series – Keller Williams

Musical Mad Scientist, Keller Williams, is coming to Norwich, NY! Each of his over 20 albums contains a single syllable title with each title serving as a concise summation of the concept guiding each project. . Keller’s albums reflect his pursuit to create music that sounds like nothing else. Un-beholden to conventionalism, he seamlessly crosses genre boundaries. The end product is music that encompasses rock, jazz, funk and bluegrass, and always keeps the audience on their feet. Keller built his reputation initially on his engaging live performances, no two of which are ever alike. For most of his career he has performed solo. His stage shows are rooted around Keller singing his compositions and choice cover songs, while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, bass, guitar synthesizer and drum samples; a technique called live phrase sampling or “looping”. The end result often leans toward a hybrid of alternative folk and groovy electronica, a genre Keller jokingly calls “acoustic dance music” or ADM.” Keller’s constant evolution has led to numerous band projects as well; Keller & The Keels, Grateful Grass, KWahtro, Keller and the Travelin’ McCourys, Grateful Gospel and More Than A Little to name a few. Keller can be found playing clubs and festivals around the U.S. with these projects throughout the year.

NBT Bank Summer Concert Series – The Iguanas

The Iguana’s take their cues from music from all over the Americas – the Conjunto sounds of the Texas Mexico border region as best exemplified by the accordion and the Bajo Sexto, the American South’s Blues, Jazz and New Orleans R&B, and the lilting grace and fiery passion of the music of the Carribean, Mexico and Columbia. Based out of New Orleans for the past three decades the members of the Iguanas have collectively or individually played or recorded with everyone from Charlie Rich, Alex Chilton, Emmylou Harris, Allen Touissant and Pretty Lights. Their over thirty year ride has taken them all over the map musically and geographically, yet the inescapable patina of their hometown infuses every note they play.

Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds

For nearly a decade, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds have been hailed for their explosive brand of modern soul, equally celebrated for their three studio albums and electrifying live performances. Arleigh grew up amongst an intensely musical family in upstate New York’s Catskill Mountains, co-founding Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds with her brother Jackson at just 18. The band based itself in Brooklyn and soon earned a rep as one of the hardest working outfits anywhere in the world, playing upwards of 150 shows each year including headline dates, sold out residencies, and top festivals. “Sister Sparrow, Arleigh Kincheloe’s nom de disque, is a soul queen,” raved The Washington Post, while NPR simply noted, “one of the biggest voices in rock music.”
